Experience: Owner Chad Bryant and his guides backgrounds include marine science, bird and wildlife studies and tropical botany. They have been exploring and researching the Key’s waters for over 30 years. Blue Planet has been leading tours since 2001.
All of our single and tandem kayaks are top-of-the-line recreational models. Their large cockpit design provides a dryer ride than sit-on-top models, but allows easy entry and exit. All offer exceptional stability, good back support, are easily maneuvered and have plenty of storage space.
Paddles come in all lengths to suit any paddler and can be offset. They also break down for single blade paddling. Life jackets are always provided. Ziplock bags and dry bags are given to protect your camera, phone, binoculars, and other belongings from paddle drip.
All tours and rentals are near Key West, but lay off the beaten path. Our locales offer some of the best birding, habitat diversity and abundance of marine animals in the Florida Keys. And of course, our world famous sunsets.
All of our tours are appropriate for any experience level; you will largely be sheltered from the wind in shallow waters. No big waves. Almost all trips finish with the wind at your back.
Please see the map below for our rendezvous point in Key West. We meet at the Fort East Martello Museum & Gardens near the Key West International Airport. From there you will follow us 2.5 miles to our dock.
